My name is Georgia Anne Novotny, I was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th 1981 at Stanford Hospital in
Palo Alto California. I currently live in Gardnerville Nevada and own a full service equestrian center called Canyon
Creek Equestrian Center. This is my "Sister Site" at www.CanyonCreekEquine.comIf you are a fellow horse lover, you will love my other website
with lots of horses for sale and information about our first class full service facility! anyway...
It all started
with my very first set of oil paints which my father bought for me when I was about 2 years old. He did not know anything
about paints and got me oils instead of something like watercolors. My mother had just got new carpet and I decided
to us it as my canvas. It was my first artistic adventure as a young child and would not be my last. Needless to say
my mother was very unhappy but knew it would not be the last thing I painted, she encouraged art lessons. :)
I spent a lot of my youth observing the world we live in, thinking to myself I wish I could paint that!
I was always coloring in my coloring books and learning how to draw even before I took formal lessons. I enjoyed spending
time in the art store looking at all the different art mediums. It wasn't until High School until I was pushed to
explore my abilities. My art teacher told me I would not make a great artist as I had no patience.
I decided to prove to her and most importantly myself that I could be a greater artist.
After high school
I took a year off which was spent exploring myself! I spent time doing art projects here and there, some of which
I still never finished to this day. Some of which I have hanging on my walls and I look back on as the moments I knew
what I was going to do. Artistically I was Board! I just lost the motivating and I guess "patience"
to sit around. I had enough of doing nothing and then decided to go to different community colleges to get a since of
different environments. I spent a semester at my home town community college of South Lake Tahoe CA. After that I went
to Monterey CA for a year then to Palm Springs for almost 2 years. It wasn't long before I decided I wanted to make
art my life long lesson and hopefully my career.
In college I didn't follow the suggest Art degree becasue
I took all different kinds of art classes. After almost 4 years in college exploring and loving the world of art, I
decided to join the work world. I had to create my own art environment at home which helped me create my own
art.
I have been doing this for year's now since I left college to start a now sucessful horse business. Since
then I have created quite the collection of paintings.and other artworks This is why I decided to create a website for
my art and hope that someone would be able to appreciate it and possibly want to add it their environment. In theory I have
created m own ART GALLERY without buy one.
I love creating dream like worlds that come to life, a place
that a person would want to get away to, away from the crazy world we live in today... a mental vacation! Since I grew up
in different environments I decided that the enviroment would be the perfect "Muse" for me. I know
that you will enjoy looking at my paintings and artwork as much as I enjoyed making them.
I hope that you
will consider adding one of my "dream worlds" to your reality.
